So far, my most significant contributions towards the mission have been made by creating and building software like VeganBot, in aid of the animal rights movement, and FOOD·E, to create awareness of the environmental impacts of food. I'm always looking for new problems worth solving and am always open to anything that will serve the mission in any way.
My professional path has taken some sharp turns – from recording artist and entertainer, to sound engineer and producer, to dean’s scholar in computer science, to full-stack software developer, to founder of a non-profit. Following my passions is what caused each turn, but with each turn, I serve the mission better.
I love solving problems and creating something of real value for others. I love designing beautiful systems, writing efficient, maintainable code, while using state of the art technologies. My work ethic is relentless and obsessive, especially when working on something that actually makes a difference.
I love the power that comes with being a software developer – but with great power comes great responsibility. That's why I want to use my powers, along with my passions, to make a positive impact.

Released in May 2020, FOOD·E helps food professionals promote the sustainability of their food. Built with Next.js and MongoDB.
Created in March 2020, the Ethicode homepage was originally built with Vue.js but after experimenting with that framework a bit, I decided to rewrite this project using Next.js.
Deployed in May 2018, VeganBot educates and trains people in the vegan conversation, to help veganism spread even faster. The client was built with TypeScript/Angular.js, the server with Node.js and then some Python scripts to gather the content.
'Hvert fara peningarnir?' or 'Where does the money go?' was my graduation project. Me and two other geniuses took it upon ourselves to display the books for the town of Kópavogur in a user friendly UI to increase transparency on how the town's finance is managed. The town of Kópavogur was the first establishment in Iceland to open their books in this way but now many other towns and counties have followed suit. We used Angular.js on the client, Node.js on the server and a Python script to move the data from the towns SQL database into our super fast NoSQL ElasticSearch search engine.
